Jordan Round I PV Project

EJRE is developing a 20 MW PV Project in Ma’an Development Area MDA in Ma'an Governorate South of Jordan.

Amongst our projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), The 20 MW Utility Scale, Grid Connected Project PV project in Ma’an Development Area ( MDC) is now currently under construction. The project is using cutting edge technology that has a proven track record of performance and highest deployment around the World.

In our efforts to involve Local Contractors and Manufactures to maximize the socioeconomic value of the project creating local jobs on the different levels of the economy, we are working with the local authorities and business to create the maximum value to the local community as highlighted in the Shareholder Engament Plan.

About Taqatuna I PV Project in Ma’an Development Area (MDA)

The project name Taqatuna I in Arabic means (Our Sovereign Energy) capacity is 20 MW is now under construction Ma’an Development Area (MDA) South of Jordan. The construction phase is expected to end during December 2015 and commissioning is expected as soon as the High Voltage Substation is ready to evacuate energy generated early connection and commissioning of the Substation is expected by November 2015.

Taqatuan I will be built on a land area of 720,000 SQM and the local community will have the opportunity to participate in the available jobs both skilled and semi-skilled during construction and operation that is 20 years from the commissioning date. The expected power generation of the project will be around 54 Million KWh that will be mixed with the existing energy mix managed by the National Grid in Jordan NEPCO, and the expected CO2 emissions saved from the project will be around 35,000 Tons per year.
